**I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review**

Kat has been doing her own thing and living her own life for a long time without the help of her mom. She is also a witch but doesn’t fully involve herself in the coven. When her mom calls her and tries to be mommy dearest and drops a bomb shell on Kat, she doesn’t know what to think.  Luke is a protective werewolf with a crappy biological family. He protects his chosen family and Kat is part of that. He will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Their attraction for one another is visible for everyone to see but they keep fighting it. Can they give in to their deepest wants and desires? Can a witch and a wereworlf become more than friends?
Wow! I can’t say I expected to like this book better than the first, but I sure did. I think overall, it had more oomph and had more detail. The scenes and characters were incredibly easy to picture in my mind or if I closed my eyes I felt like I could step into the scene.  I absolutely adored the character interactions in this book. They were both feisty, spunky, and incredibly loving. I laughed every single time Kat referred to Luke in a name referencing a dog. I’m not sure why it was so funny but from the beginning to the end each reference made my giggle.
There was definitely some more thrill and suspense added to this story. It kept you on the edge of your seat some more and left me with less finger nails then I had at the start.  There was some nice plot twists in which I thought I had it figured out but something else completely different happened and I LOVE THAT!
This book was absolutely incredible. Without a doubt, go pick up your copy immediately!

5/5(Exceptional)

Thanks & Happy Reading!
