Fallen Angel: by Regina Sherman

Fallen Angel by Regina Sherman wasn't your typical paranormal romance, but I loved it. Sherman twisted a turbulent tale of angels, demons, God, the devil and the power if love. Sherman gave us a new way of thinking about vampires and angles. Fallen Angel also has much more references to the Bible than any other paranormal romance I've ever read. Sherman eloquently skips over the more disturbing torture her characters endure. However, she lets you see enough to understand how terrible it is. No, graphic sex, just steamy kisses and knowing more happened. A really good read, kept me turning pages from start to finish. SERIES: not that I know of GENRES: suspense, romance, paranormal WARNINGS: violence, religious references AGES: 16 + Happy Reading! <3

Scandalous Spirits: By CB Scott

   Scandalous Spirits was a funny, quirky great read.  Really had some laugh-out-loud funny moments. There was also some of the tension and heartache that keeps a good plot flowing, but not enough to make this a heavy read.    Beth and Cynthia make a dynamic duo. Their characters are awesome and lively, (even the ghosts!)  I need more of the Van Buren's so, I googled it and yes there is a sequel. The sequel is Kindred Spirits and it is currently available at most retailers. SERIE S : YES GENRES: romance, paranormal romance, fiction WARNINGS: STEAMY, and some language AGES:   16+

Enemies and Playmates: by Darcia Helle

Enemies and Playmates was an exciting though sometimes sad read.  It starts out kind of slow, but once you figure out what is going on the shockers don't stop.  Tells a story of a family filled with lies, deceit, abuse, and mob ties. This was a great book, and really will make you think about the lives other people are forced to live. There were sweet kisses,  not much graphic sex maybe a few scenes. However, the violence is pretty descriptive.  All in all, a great book when you are in the mood for deep. SERIES : No GENRES : Suspense, thriller, fiction WARNING : Violence, language, AGES: 18+ Happy Reading!

Weekly Book List

Ok, I know I am a little behind on this so I will get right to the point. This week I am planning to read Scandalous Spirits by CB Scott. Also, I want to read Fallen Angel by Regina Sherman. I didn't read the synopsis for this book, but the cover and name where so intriguing I downloaded it anyway. Both of these books were free for kindle when I downloaded them. Though I think Scandalous Spirits is back to regular price now. If you don't have a kindle, you can download the kindle app free at Amazon, for phones, PCs and tablets. Happy Reading :)

Mockingjay:: by Suzanne Collins

            Mockingjay is the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. This one just seemed to be lacking compared with the first two. There are still a lot of crazy surprises, suspense, and of course violent deaths. Also, Collins does a great job of wrapping up the series. She doesn’t leave loose ends and keep you guessing after the book ends. I think that really it’s Katniss (heroine) that lets me down. She doesn’t seem to do as much in this book. Of course, she does have some combat scenes, but to me it seemed she spent more time in recovery or “mentally disoriented” in this book than in action.             Overall, I have to say I really like the entire series. I am planning on a re-read soon. I recommend for anyone 14 and up who likes action and suspense. And also, I am officially a Suzanne Collins fan. These are the first of her books I have read. I li...

Catching Fire:: by Suzanne Collins

           Catching Fire is the second book in “The Hunger Games” trilogy. I really loved this book. I liked the first book “The Hunger Games” pretty well and I was excited to get my hands on this one. If you are going to read this series I suggest you try to have all of them when you start, or you may very well go crazy waiting. Catching Fire starts off kind of slow, filling readers in on what happened in the first book and since then (so if you want to read them “stand-alone”   it’s possible, but I doubt you will.) However, once it gets going, you won’t be able to put it down.   It is packed with nonstop suspense and surprises. Collins gives you some excellent foreshadowing, but you still won’t believe the stuff she comes up with. This book is a great combination of all my favorite flavors love, murder, heartbreak, betrayal, and don’t forget rebellion. It even has some laugh-out-loud funny moments.   I could hardly slee...
