Half Moon Hero (Half Moon Series Book 3) By Taryn Bradley

Image
My Jinx is finally here!!!  I've been crushing on Jinx Monroe for a while now, since he was still the town bad boy in Half Moon Holler. It has been awesome to watch him grow as a character and develop into Half Moons very own hero.  Bradley has done a great job with this series. She brings the the small town of Half Moon, Alabama to life with vivid characters and their totally intertwined crazy lives. Each person in town has a unique backstory and personality. I can probably give you more town gossip about Half Moon at this point, than I can my own town. Half Moon definitely holds a special place in my heart.  And Jinx Monroe? I'm pretty sure that boy could own the whole heart.. ( Ya know, if he did actually exist on the physical plane and wasn't a million miles out of my league.)    I suppose I should stop swooning over Jinx and give you some warnings. Basic Half Moon stuff, really. There's definitely nosey neighbors, lots of F-bombs and an extremely hot alpha-...

The Protector (ACES Series Book 2) By Cristin Harber

Image
I'm freaking TF out right now.    I just finished with The Protector  and, whew buddy, that was intense. And deep. And sad. And hott. And amazing.    And I need a drink.   If you're not a Titan/Delta/Aces reader already, no biggie, this novel totally stands on its own. But if you are Team Titan, you're gonna be freaking TF out too.  Cherry bombs and Easter eggs everywhere.  Familiar faces and catch phrases had me SQUEALING  and my husband looking at me like I'm a freak.    But on top of that we get introduced to some new faces too! I'm loving Chance a.k.a "Midas" and the rest of the ACES team we get to meet. Some time has gone by since  The Savior and we are getting see the team grow and Boss Man bristle.   I am such a Cristin Harber fangirl for life. As always, she brings us badass characters and a tense plot. Harber brings the heat. From gunfire and rooftop helo extractions to st...

Scorch (Virtues and Lies Book 2) By Alexandra Silva

Image
After the way Burn ended, I was super anxious to get my hands on Scorch.  I needed to know what was going to happen with Anabelle and Christopher so bad, and then when I finally got my hands on it I was kind of scared to even read it. But I couldn't stay chicken for long, I needed answers.   Even though she scares me, Miss Silva gave me my answers for Belles and Christopher.  It hurt, as predicted, but I got a little closure.    She also gave me new questions.  I'm excited to know more about this crew of billionaires and the secrets of the elite.  There is so much scandal, so many secrets- it can't be told in one story. I am LOVING how Silva is telling this tale. Peeking through the different view points as the books release and the overall plot line arcs through the series.    I'm going to reread Burn and then Scorch next. Because my first read of Scorch was *fast*  with a tight chest and fragile nerves. So I want to sl...

PHILLIP (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes): By Cristin Harber

Image
We've got something new from my fav, y'all.  And not just a new book but a new book in what seems like kind of a new style.  Not a single shot fired.  Not one. If you have read evvverrryyy single Harber novel because you are obsessed (i.e. me) then you know, that is new af.  But what's not new? She still brings it hard. She still has me turning pages as fast as my eye can move. All these new characters are amazing and I am pretty much hooked on the Blackthorne family.  I mentioned it on Facebook earlier that I regret only signing up for one of the Blackthorne ARCs  because after I finished Phillip, I kept picking up my phone then laying it down over and over again through the night thinking "Well crap I already finished my book. And you didn't get Brock. "  PHILLIP is stand alone and I was never confused or lost and Phillip's story wraps up great. But I need more of these Blackthornes now and these family secrets.   AGE...

Burn (Virtues & Lies Book 1) By Alexandra Silva

Image
Dude. This was intense. The tension, drama and chemistry  are so strong in this novel! I would say that I was blown away, but that's a lie. I totally expected this book to hit me like a Mack truck because this isn't the first Silva novel I have read. Alex has this way of ripping your heart out while you're still smiling. And then when you're left standing there bleeding and wondering wtf just happened, she'll blow you a kiss and wink. Burn is the beginning of a new series so we are meeting brand new characters with new backstories and skeletons . Alex does an amazing job at giving us all these new people to love (and hate.) Her characters are well developed and believable and their back stories are DEEP. Be aware when I say deep, deep gets dark, and this novel not only has the hot romance but the deep dark gritty stuff too. LIVE August 16th! AGES: 18+ SERIES: Yes WARNINGS: Violence, bloodshed, betrayal, loss, love and graphic sex (but not all at the sa...

Someone Like You (Imperfect Hearts Series Book 3): By Alexandra Silva

Image
Hey all! Quick update on the Imperfect Hearts Series. I finished Someone Like You, book 3 of the series, that just released (finaallllyyy).  I'm so happy! I have been waiting for Jake and Dorians story since the beginning. #Dorke as they have been dubbed, stole my heart.  This is a super sweet couple and I had some good laughs even though there's some sad parts too. I think Alex did a great job with this whole series and I am looking forward to seeing what she has in mind for Willow. :) The Imperfect Hearts Series: Book One: For You (Dorian) releasing 9/27/18     Book Two: No One But You (Quincy) available now.    Book Three: Someone Like You, available now.  AGES: 18+ GENRES: contemporary romance  WARNINGS:  some language, and graphic sex.  SERIES: Yes. The Savior (ACES Series Book One); By Cristin Harber

Image
SQUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!    I've been waiting, semi-patiently, for this book, this series, THESE WORDSSSSSS!!! Finally. And the words? They are oh, so good.    The Savior is going to be the very first book in a brand new series by the lovely Cristin Harber. Though it reads as stand-alone, it is written in her Titan Universe; so fans may recognize little cherry bombs or "Easter- eggs" as Cristin would call them. I found a few and squealed when I recognized something. But if you've never read one of her books, you wouldn't be lost at all.    As with most all Harber novels, the hero and the heroine are both bada**. Liam is a military contractor. Chelsea is a U.S. Marshall. And when the two team up, it's explosive and intense. The whole story is filled with suspense, an extra helping of action and served with a side of heartache. Cristin combines this all in to a beautiful story about finding justice for the pain, overcoming the past and creating...

Luci's Lullaby (Highway 17 Series) By Leaona Luxx

Image
Do you ever scroll through your kindle and see a ton of books by the same author, and just think "Here we go," and dive in? I knew Luci's Lullaby was releasing this week, and I had so many to catch up on, so that's what I did. Dove in, head first.    I ended up binge reading both The Cove Series and the Highway 17 series, in a week. 9 books in 7 days. I'm still in a kind of book-hangover- induced- fog and can't decide if I am in Georgia or North Carolina. If you ask me where I work, I might actually say Woods Construction. Which is not right. *smh*    Anyways---- I started at the beginning with Leaona Luxx's debut novel, Cherry Grove (The Cove Series), and read the entirety of her work in order. It was kind of cool to watch her grow as an author and hone her skills.  The books just get better and better, until we hit Luci's Lullaby, which is my favorite in both series. It really is her best work so far.   Both series intertwine and co...

Imperfect Hearts Series: By Alexandra Silva

Image
I've got a new, foaming-at-the-mouth/ can't-wait-for-more-words favorite series!!!! The Imperfect Hearts Series, by my super hot girl crush Alexandra Silva, is such a special series for me!  Though technically published second, For You will be the first book in this series, as it starts further back chronologically and introduces you to all of your new besties. But this isn't a "prequel" or at least it doesn't have that kind of feeling. Nope, this is the real deal- rip your heart out novel. The characters are amazing, and the emotions are LEGIT deep. Like, I cried y'all.   Ugly. Cried.    Sweet Dorian. *sniffles*   Don't tell Alex, though, she doesn't need that kind of power over me.  Or to be aware of it, at least.    And to go ahead an forewarn all, it does not have an HEA for Dorian. It's not a cliffhanger either, though. Like I said, deeeeeep emotions.    Then when your heart is sufficiently maimed, we move on to...

Home To Faithful; By Anna Bishop Barker

Image
I absolutely love this book! I am loving the whole series and can't wait for more!    You meet Sam and Delilah in the first novel in this series as support characters.  Here in Home to Faithful we get their story and their very long awaited HEA. And Miss Anna did not disappoint me.  She did an amazing job bringing them both to life on the page and creating such vivid characters.  I love all the residents of Faithful Tennessee.     My followers know I am a sucker for the "second -chance" troupe. This couple has had a very long journey back to each other and back Home To Faithful.  Miss Anna gives us their backstory at the beginning of the book; catching us up on their timeline and also completely hooking us into their story.  And then she turns up the heat and the suspense, living up to her tagline "Romance with an edge."  For real though, edge of your seat! Faithful Series: Journey To Faithful : (Jake) Home t...

Half Moon Rebel (Half Moon Series Book Two); By Taryn Bradley

Image
Y'all, I've just got to say, I love me some Bubba.     I met Bubba in Half Moon Holler, the first book in this series, which stars Bubba's best friend Nate.  I have been not so patiently waiting for Bubba's HEA since. And Taryn did not disappoint. I loved this book as much as the first in the series, and now I NEEEEEEEDDDDD number three!    Half Moon Rebel is such a great read. Even though it is part of a series it reads well stand-alone. You don't "need" to read the  first book to enjoy this one. Bubba can hold his own. But if you're like me and need every single detail available on your fav characters, I'll include a link to Half Moon Holler below.    I am such a fan of  Miss Bradley. She has a great way with inner dialogue and her characters have such unique voices.   The plot moves really well. I had some teary eyed moments, and some laugh out loud moments too. And the trial scenes are  intense!    ...

Italians Do It Better (Italian Playboys Book 2): BY Holly J. Gill

Image
I went into this book blind. No blurb, no synopsis. Just a fellow blogger saying  "here read and review this..." Um, Okay?  I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it for sure wasn't what I got!!! Whew. There is just soooooo much naughty. Like, so much.  But somehow Gill managed to keep a plot flowing through the sheets, I mean pages.  I am not sure I have ever read a book with so much naughty that still had a plot. There's not really any action or suspense, Gill keeps the pages turning with the dramatic tension of the plot, and well, ya know. Naughty. The characters are pretty well put together and likeable. There are some differences in dialects in the book that messed with the flow for me, but I am not from the UK, so I don't think I count. :) My warnings about this book are simple: language, love triangle, and copious amounts of very graphic sex.  Overall it was a decent read. It didn't move me to tears, but I did laugh a few times AGES: 18+ WARNINGS...

Delta: Ricochet (Delta Series Book 4); BY Cristin Harber

Image
I've been waiting what seems like eons for Colin. EONS, I tell ya. And He didn't disappoint.  Of course he wouldn't, I wasn't really worried. ;) Harber's talent shines through the words like always. She can pack so much action, drama and suspense into one book it amazes me.  It truly blows my mind how she can weave such an intricate World. Not just one story, but an entire world is packed into her stories. Even though Ricochet is a standalone novel, the characters, the world, bleed through in to her other novels making for an amazing reader experience. My warning for this book are basically the same as all other Harber novels; sex, language, bad guys, violence, gangs, drugs, guns, alcohol, more sex. Ya know, all the fun stuff. As always, Cristin gives us amazing characters and a flawless romance.  I am sad that this is the final book in the Delta series, but I am looking forward to what is next in the Titan World.  I can't wait to see what the #sneakyhooker i...
