Relentless: By Cindy Stark

This was a great free read. Stark brings a city girl named Lily to a very small town to start over with her best friend. She gives you some giggle out loud moments, as well as some of the usual; betrayal, heartbreak, and love. But she does it in a way that really gets your emotions pumping. I was seriously ready to knock someone out for Lily….    I found a few grammatical errors, but they weren’t major, just things spell check wouldn’t catch. There is some steamy sex, but you get part of the way through the book before it, uh, comes up. Happy Reading folks and I’ll leave you with a quote I loved from the book; “… She’d lived long enough to recognize trouble when she saw it, and that man was a mountain-sized, testosterone-fueled bucket of trouble…”      *sigh* SERIES: No GENRES: Romance/ fiction WARNINGS: STEAMY AGES: 18+

Secrets of the Lost Summer: By Carla Neggers

Well, classes are officially over for summer and I've read my first book. I had been waiting to read this one for a while and was pretty excited.      I have been a Carla Neggers fan from the first book of hers I picked up. I own at least four, but they are all in the horror and suspense genres. This is the first "romance" of hers, and I loved it. It's not all sappy romance. There's a little suspense, family dynamics, betrayal and an odd treasure hunt. I really love the plot line, and setting. I don't want to give it away so I'll leave it at that.      Neggers always does a good job with her characters. They have habits, flaws and fears you can pick-up on and relate to. I didn't notice any spatial or grammatical errors, but truthfully I was to pulled into the story to pay much attention to spelling. Also, no graphic sex, it's implied, just some steamy make-outs. ;) AGES: 17+ GENRES: romance WARNINGS: none ...

Ok, my dear fellow book lovers.... I have in my possesion "Secrets of the Lost Summer" By Carla Neggers. I can barely wait to read it, but I have to. It is almost finals time, and things will be crazy;but I'll read it as soon as I get a chance.  I'm hoping it will be a light, fun, goodhearted kind of read. Here is the synopsis provided by Amazon, see if you want to read with me or wait for the review. 44 Books Two and Three: By Jools Sinclair

Once again, I have to say wow. Sinclair keeps you pulled into the story with Abby Craig's trials and triumphs. I really don't have many bad things to say about this series. 44 needs to be read as a set, I don't think they would stand alone well.  Also, I never really got a good picture of the characters in my head. Sinclair gives them some good identifying traits, like Jakes ball cap or Kate's high heels, but she doesn't give you much more to go on.  However, I do love the books and the constant drama/trauma in Abby's life.  And think it would make a good tv show, maybe movie. So, the nondescript characters may work in Sinclair's favor. I would hate to see another Vampire Diaries fiasco.  (Apologies to all TVD fans, that's just not the Elena I pictured, or Bonnie or...never mind, you get my point.) ... Happy Reading! SERIES: Yes GENRES: Fiction, paranormal fiction, YA WARNINGS:   AGES: 15+

44 : By Jools Sinclair

Wow! Just finished reading 44 by Jools Sinclair and wow sums it up. After being dead for 44 minutes 17 year old Abby wakes up, with hardly any memories and only a shadow of her former self. Sinclair really keeps you guessing when a serial killer invades Abby's dreams, and them slaps you across the face with one GIANT shocker at the end.      This is a short story that kept the suspense tense and the pages turning. As soon as I finished reading , I went online and purchase the next book "44 book two."  And I'm ready to start it. So, Happy Reading folks.  :) SERIES : YES GENRES: Paranormal fiction. YA fiction WARNING: you will love it AGES : 15+ PS: This book was free for kindle when I downloaded it.

Fallen Angel: by Regina Sherman

Fallen Angel by Regina Sherman wasn't your typical paranormal romance, but I loved it. Sherman twisted a turbulent tale of angels, demons, God, the devil and the power if love. Sherman gave us a new way of thinking about vampires and angles. Fallen Angel also has much more references to the Bible than any other paranormal romance I've ever read. Sherman eloquently skips over the more disturbing torture her characters endure. However, she lets you see enough to understand how terrible it is. No, graphic sex, just steamy kisses and knowing more happened. A really good read, kept me turning pages from start to finish. SERIES: not that I know of GENRES: suspense, romance, paranormal WARNINGS: violence, religious references AGES: 16 + Happy Reading! <3

Scandalous Spirits: By CB Scott

Scandalous Spirits was a funny, quirky great read.  Really had some laugh-out-loud funny moments. There was also some of the tension and heartache that keeps a good plot flowing, but not enough to make this a heavy read.    Beth and Cynthia make a dynamic duo. Their characters are awesome and lively, (even the ghosts!)  I need more of the Van Buren's so, I googled it and yes there is a sequel. The sequel is Kindred Spirits and it is currently available at most retailers. SERIE S : YES GENRES: romance, paranormal romance, fiction WARNINGS: STEAMY, and some language AGES:   16+
